FAQ

What do you mean by "limited capacity"?

We can only accommodate 5,000 people at any given time, which means that you will need to secure a ticket to be able to attend Shindig.


What are my transportation /parking options for getting to and from the event?

We are offering a free shuttle service between Ottawa, Carleton Place, Kanata and Smiths Falls.

Attendees will have access to the onsite parking lot. Please note that there are limited spots available and we highly encourage carpooling.


What can I bring into the event?

You may bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating, a camera and good spirits. If you are a medical cannabis customer with a valid identification card from a Health Canada Licensed Producer, you may bring your medicine to the event to consume in a designated vaporizing space.


What should I NOT bring to the event?

Alcohol and cigarettes are not permitted on the event grounds.

How much are tickets and where can I get them?

Tickets are $15 for anyone who is 18 years of age or older, and any money made from ticket sales will go directly to one local Smiths Falls charity. 

For everyone else, the price of admission is FREE, but you still need to secure a ticket to enter Shindig. 


Do residents of Smiths Falls get free tickets to Shindig?

Residents of Smiths Falls will be able to access free tickets to Shindig at the Smiths Falls Visitor Centre, located at 77 Beckwith St. starting August 17, 2018.

Hours of Operation:

Monday-Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

REMINDER: You will have to present a valid government-issued ID to access a ticket.


Will the event go on, rain or shine?

Yes. The Shindig always goes on - rain or shine.


Is the Tweed Shindig wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The entry points to this event will be paved, the concert will take place on a grassy lawn with flat entry points, and wheelchair-accessible washrooms will also be available.


Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes. You must  bring your printed ticket to the event OR download the Eventbrite app to showcase your ticket at the entrance.


Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?

Your ticket is only transferable if it is a printed ticket presented by the new guest at the door.


Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes.
